Designers focused not only on how materials look, but on how they feel and perform over time. In the CX\u20116e, this results in a clean, uncluttered cabin that feels open and calm. A horizontal dashboard design, combined with an illuminated signature element, creates a strong sense of width. The full\u2011length panoramic sunroof brings natural light into the cabin, further enhancing the feeling of space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWith the Mazda CX\u20116e, our ambition was to create an interior that feels soulful and deeply human, even in the context of electrification. We explored bold proportions and clean, sculptural surfaces to express innovation, while carefully integrating materials and details that invite touch and interaction. The result is an interior that feels modern and progressive, yet calm, welcoming and unmistakably Mazda.\u201d &#8211; said Jo Stenuit, Mazda Motor&nbsp;Europe\u2018s&nbsp;Design&nbsp;Director.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">New interior architecture: Space, calm and clarity<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Built on a dedicated electric platform, the CX\u20116e introduces a new interior layout developed with significant European input. The focus was on clarity and ease of use. Controls and displays are positioned logically to reduce distraction and support a natural driving experience. The simplified layout also improves space for both front and rear passengers, making the CX\u20116e well suited for everyday use as well as longer journeys.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe electric platform allowed us to rethink the interior completely. We focused on space, clarity and intuitive use to meet the expectations of European customers.\u201d- said Filip Boshevski, Lead Interior Designer, Mazda Motor Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Colour&nbsp;and Trim<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Colour and trim choices for the CX\u20116e interior are rooted in Japanese design principles of harmony and balance. The goal was to create interiors that feel modern, calm and long\u2011lasting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Three interior options are available:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Warm Beige Maztex<sup>2<\/sup>&nbsp;(Takumi)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Black Maztex (Takumi)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Two\u2011tone Amethyst and White Maztex (Takumi Plus)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe focused on creating balanced colour combinations that feel timeless. By carefully coordinating tones, textures and lighting, we aimed to design an interior that supports relaxation and emotional wellbeing, while subtly expressing Mazda\u2019s Japanese heritage in a modern electric context. Our main inspiration for colour contrast was Japanese art, particularly the work of Hiroshi Senju, which guided our colour exploration.\u201d \u2013 said Alena Gersonde, Senior Designer Colour &amp; Material design Mazda Motor Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With the CX\u20116e, Mazda shows how electric vehicle interiors can combine technology, usability and design.
