It is called the T Cross and will be a small crossover based on the compact hatchback. <\/span><\/p><div class=\"autoestrada-nel-contenuto autoestrada-entity-placement\" id=\"autoestrada-2197058236\" style=\"position: relative;padding: 30px;border: 2px solid red;margin: 25px auto 35px;text-align: center;width: fit-content;\"><div class=\"autoestrada-adlabel\">Advertising<\/div><div id=\"autoestrada-2322503716\"><!-- START ADVERTISER: from tradedoubler.com -->\r\n<script type=\"text\/javascript\">\r\nvar uri = 'https:\/\/impfr.tradedoubler.com\/imp?type(img)g(25346028)a(2263928)' + new String (Math.random()).substring (2, 11);\r\ndocument.write('<a href=\"https:\/\/clk.tradedoubler.com\/click?p=289682&a=2263928&g=25346028\" target=\"_BLANK\"><img src=\"'+uri+'\" border=0><\\\/a>');\r\n<\/script>\r\n<!-- END ADVERTISER: from tradedoubler.com --><\/div><\/div>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0cm;\"><span lang=\"en-GB\">The T-Cross will borrow design language from both the larger T-Roc SUV and the Polo hatchback including a full-width grille flatter front profile.\u00a0In 2016, VW revealed the T-Cross Breeze at the Geneva Motor Show, which is likely to be a good indication of how the car will look.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0cm;\"><span lang=\"en-GB\">It will be built on the MQB platform which is also used to manufacturer the Polo and Seat Arona among other vehicles.\u00a0T-Cross is just one of the 19 SUVs the car manufacturer is planning to launch by 2020.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0cm;\"><span lang=\"en-GB\">In terms of size, it will be similar to the Golf but have some of the practicality features of a crossover.\u00a0Powertrain options have yet to be confirmed for the T-Cross but it can be expected that it will feature some of the same engines debuted on the new Polo.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0cm;\"><span lang=\"en-GB\">Much like cars such as the Hyundai Kona, the T-Cross is likely to offer colour contrasting interior and bolder more funky design, to fit in with the current trend in SUV cars.\u00a0\u201cThe baby SUV looks very sporty,\u201d said one company insider. \u201cYou will wonder whether it\u2019s a VW at all; you may recognise the grille, but it\u2019s a very exciting design elsewhere.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Volkswagen is set to launch a new crossover based on the VW Polo later this year and our photographer caught the car again as it was put through its paces in Austria.
