The Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este stands as one of the world’s most esteemed celebrations of automotive culture: a prestigious event that, on the shores of Lake Como, honors the most refined expressions of design, technology, and automotive heritage. This year, for the first time, among such renowned names as Pagani, Lotus, Glickenhaus, and Alfa Romeo Zagato, Kimera Automobili joins the ranks with its EVO38 Prototype 00, nominated in the “Concept Cars & Prototypes” category.
This nomination marks the official entry of the Piedmontese brand among the globally recognized leaders in the automotive world. The EVO38 in competition is the first pre-series prototype, developed to refine the final stages of testing and technical validation – a prelude to customer vehicle production, which will officially begin in 2026.
Unveiled at the Geneva International Motor Show in 2024, the EVO38 immediately captured the attention of enthusiasts and collectors alike: just over a year since its debut, Kimera has already secured 24 orders out of the 38 planned units, confirming the uniqueness and value of its offering.
The EVO38 represents a significant evolution over the EVO37, not only through the introduction of all-wheel drive with dynamic torque distribution and electronic differential control, but also through a remarkable weight reduction of 150 kg compared to its predecessor, bringing the total mass down to just under 1,000 kg. It is powered by a 600 HP engine, developed in collaboration with Italtecnica, capable of delivering extraordinary performance and offering a driving experience that is authentic, pure, and thrilling.
In addition to its participation in the official contest, Kimera will also feature in the FuoriConcorso, displaying some of the latest EVO37 models on the scenic terrace of Villa Flori. These vehicles, presented in newly configured color variants and exclusive trims, highlight the craftsmanship and extreme personalization that each Kimera embodies – making every unit a unique masterpiece.
Kimera Automobili’s rise on the international automotive scene continues relentlessly. After producing and delivering 30 units of the EVO37, including the special “Martini 7” versions, the brand is now firmly focused on the future. A countdown has begun on its official website for the unveiling of the K39, the third generation of Kimera creations.
The K39 represents a turning point: it will be the first car entirely designed and built by Kimera, without relying on a donor car, thereby establishing the marque as a true manufacturer. Inspired by the legendary Beta Montecarlo Turbo that dominated the Sports Prototype Championship in the late ’70s and early ’80s, the K39 will be produced in just 39 units and it will be homologated for the road, though its nature will be extreme – engineered to face even the legendary Pikes Peak challenge.
Meanwhile, Kimera Automobili is undergoing a subtle rebranding, now reflected on the company’s newly updated website. This visual refresh hints at exciting developments ahead and signals a future full of promise.
Kimera Automobili stands today as one of the most vibrant and visionary players in the automotive world – a thoroughly Italian story of passion, expertise, and dedication, proving that even in an ever-changing and complex era, it is still possible to create something authentic, ambitious, and extraordinary.
